What You’ll Walk Away With

A farm tour at Butterfield Farms is about perspective—not pressure. This is your chance to slow down, walk the land, and see what regenerative farming looks like in real life, not just online.

You’ll gain a clearer understanding of how a working farm functions day to day, from animal handling and pasture management to the bigger picture of building systems that support both the land and the people caring for it. As we walk, we’ll share what’s worked for us, what we’ve learned along the way, and why certain choices matter.

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions—whether you’re curious about regenerative practices, raising livestock humanely, starting your own farm, or simply wanting to understand where food comes from. There’s no formal lesson plan and no expectation to “know” anything ahead of time.

Most visitors leave with fresh ideas, a deeper appreciation for the land, and a more grounded understanding of what sustainable farming actually looks like behind the scenes.
